THE BIG PRIZE!!!

Please let's help the Brothers and Sisters of this Organization realize The Big Prize that is at stake. The BLE&T wants our Crew Consist and are willing to risk disposal of both crafts of Conductor & Engineer as you know to get it. This truth works with all young and old on this territory. Please use this to fight the wolf off.

Brothers & Sisters think deeply about an Organization whom is making you promises of upholding your Craft Security when they themselves envy this historical agreement.

Brothers & Sisters think deeply about an Organization whom already has The Big Prize of Crew Consist, and be thankful that as long as UTU holds it ALL personnel will be secure.

Yes the BLE&T is willing to take our Big Prize not even realizing that UTU Crew Consist is protecting the BLE&T. Remember Engineers hold Ground Service Seniority also!

Brothers & Sisters do not risk The Big Prize. The smoke screen promises of bonuses, more pay & and upholding of PRESENT agreements is a trap. Realize EVERYBODY'S JOB is gone if the only Crew Consist is taken from Ground Personnel.

Do not think that the Carrier will ever BE WILLING to negotiate another Crew Consist for either organization. This agreement is the last wall standing in the Carriers way to abolishment our JOBS. When it is gone from OUR UTU Ground Service it WILL NOT return.

Ultimately the UTU is protecting all Engineers with a Ground Service Crew Consist Agreement. The BLE&T leadership is recruiting OUR members to cut THEIR own THROATS. Think, think and think.

Give all of this thought BROTHERS & SISTERS. Why doesn't the BLE&T leadership dispose of their arrogance and use their mastermind and encourage their engineers to join the UTU, BECAUSE WE ARE THE ONLY ORGANIZATION SECURING THEIR FUTURE.

Let's all think before we leap into something that we will always regret. The UTU has secured a position on that train or crew. Do not add fuel to a fire that is going to burn us all. If you stay UTU WE WILL NOT GET BURNT!!!

Ask a BLE&T Engineer or NS Officer while he is recruiting you if he has ever given thought to whom is protecting his Ground Service Seniority.  Also ask them, "if the craft of Engineer suddenly disappeared tomorrow, who would be left standing alongside them with The Big Prize held high."

Article 37

CREW CONSIST

A. ROAD AND YARD CREWS

1. The consist of all road freight and yard crews, except as otherwise provided in this Article, will not be less than one conductor/foreman and one trainman/yardman.

G. RESTRICTIONS ON THE CARRIER

1. Employees will not be required to operate with less than the required crew consist specified in this Article, nor will they be censured or disciplined in any manner for refusal to do so.

2. No Carrier supervisor, yardmaster, official, engine or non-craft employee will be used to supplement, supplant or substitute in the work of any train or yard crew working under UTU Agreements.
